Why am I being charged a fee for an ATM withdrawal?

Updated over a week ago

At Yonder, we want to give you easy access to your money. However, processing cash withdrawals involves real costs from our banking partners and the ATM networks.

1. Your Fee-Free Limit: €200

Each membership period, you can withdraw up to €200 from an ATM completely free of charge. This applies to withdrawals in the Netherlands and abroad.

2. The 2% Withdrawal Fee

Once you exceed your €200 limit within a single membership period, we charge a 2% fee on any additional amount withdrawn.

  • Example: If you withdraw €250, you will be charged 2% on the extra €50, which equals a €1,00 fee.

  • This fee is outlined in our Account Terms and helps us cover the costs of the global ATM infrastructure.

3. Important: Third-Party ATM Fees

Some independent ATM providers (often found in convenience stores, airports, or nightlife areas) may charge their own separate convenience fee.

Tip: In the Netherlands, look for the yellow Geldmaat ATMs. These are the standard bank machines and typically do not charge an extra "local" fee for Dutch debit cards, unlike independent machines.
